Thank You Letter
One day my best friend called me in the office. She accidentally found a thank you letter in her husband’s laundry after a business trip. The letter expressed how this woman enjoyed the time she spent on the lake with my friend’s husband. I was dumbfounded and I could feel the pain in every word from the other line. I had to leave the office immediately and rush to her side. She was a wreck when I got there. How could I console her better? All I could do was to hold her and to cry with her. It was such a tragic time and I had to be there for her.
